My President, 2016

This project consists of fake website with content about an interactive art project called "My President" in which twitter users control the speech of a Donald Trump avatar. I was inspired by social media platforms after the 2016 presidential election. Sites like twitter aim to give the common citizen a voice. After reading dozens of #NotMyPresident tweets, I wondered how a perfect democracy could reflect the often conflicting views of the populus.
